Second only to Georgs love of the human form has been his fascination with Wildlife, particularly that of his first adopted home in North America - the Pacific Northwest.

Characteristic of his wildlife Works is the transition of exquisite detail into exactingly smooth and tensional surfaces - these surfaces quietly vibrating with the strength of the musculature beneath. One can easily imagine the sculptures bursting into explosive motion at any moment.
Not to be ignored is the challenge of working in granite, one of the harder stones used by sculptors, and the daily trial of removing just the right amount of stone, with no room for error. Being a perfectionist, his bronze castings receive an equal amount of attention, each one of the series or museum edition items becoming a by the hand of the master original. |
