The sweep of the outstretched wing, following the grain of the root burl is armored in bronze, while the back of the eagle throbs with the tension and explosive violence of a mother protecting her young.
One of Georg’s more spectacular pieces, it was the first in Georg’s recent focus on the ‘fusion’ of sculptural mediums. |
