Commissioned by a mother for her son, this sculpture allowed Georg to further indulge his fascination with raptors - this one of the deep.
Most often it is assumed that this is another example of Georg’s marvelous command of patina - making bronze look like stone. It is, however, an exquisitely carved, marble miniature - small at least by Georg’s standards. |
