Inner Sounds (1998)
Abstracted Shell
One of a kind Original
Alabaster
30"H x 11"W x 7"D

Recognizable in essence, while allowing the viewer a personal interpretation of the work, Inner Sounds is another example of what could be called a ‘representational abstraction’.

From a certain perspective the viewer may recognize the shape of a shell.  From another, one is reminded of the sound waves traveling to and within the ear.  From all perspectives, one is struck by the flawless, almost-alive surfaces.
